Nick and
Catherine find a dead Jill Case hung from her mansion’s high ceiling by
a blue dog leash, while Warrick and Grissom find Jill’s twin sister
Amanda shot to death in front of a drycleaners. Catherine finds a cell
phone and keys on the ground but no purse. Grissom realizes that Jill is
the editor and chief of the Las Vegas Globe. Warrick finds a suicide
note from the victim. Nick finds Amanda’s purse in a nearby trashcan
containing an envelope from a Dora stating never to contact her again.
He also finds a misshapen blue stocking and no cash. Warrick notes that
both victim’s drive the same car in the same color. He also notes that
Jill’s laptop is missing. Greg finds pills prescribed to Jill in her
medicine cabinet. Amanda’s husband Gary tells Sofia that he didn’t think his wife had a
sister and was adopted. Catherine notes that the two are estranged as
Jill is giving her money to Amnesty International. Dr. Robbins confirms
that Jill was murdered via strangulation. Warrick and Brass go to Jill’s
office where they notice that her locked drawer is scratched looking as
if someone was trying to pry it open. They find a monitor but no
computer. Warrick finds a flash drive taped underneath her desk. Mandy
finds prints from a Dora Pomerantz on the letter found in Amanda’s
purse. Sofia
finds Dora and Dora says she left the twins when she was young, but her
daughter Tiffany lives with her. Tiffany, a 17-year-old, says she sent
the letter to Amanda pretending to be her mother. Warrick realizes that
Jill was dating her psychiatrist Dr. Hoffman.
Meanwhile,
Wendy traces lipstick marks on Amanda’s husband’s collar to a woman that
worked with him. When Nick questions the woman she says she slept with Gary. He then notes blue car trace on her
keys. Back in the lab, Archie notices that the flash drive under Jill’s
desk is a transformer. It contains pictures from photo journalist Jake
Lenoir. Archie notes that Jill stole his photos and ran them. Sofia confirms that Tiffany was following
Amanda before her death. With two deaths on their hands and a host of
suspects, the team tries to get to the bottom of the case to bring
justice to the twins’ deaths.
Grissom
receives a letter from
Brown
University asking him if
he is interested in going on sabbatical to join their team.
