CSI: CRIME scene investigation
Season 7 -
Episode 19 - Big Shots
Written by Dustin Lee Abraham
Directed by Jeff Woolnough
Gun Shots erupt in the early
morning hours and a shot-up and out of control limousine crashes into
the “Seven Sins” Gentlemen’s Club barely missing a group of strippers
coming off their shift. The uniform on scene fills Brass in on the
casualties. One dead and two banged up. Brass recognizes the
passenger who managed to survive the shoot-out, their paths have crossed
before. His name is Kellen Tyford aka “Drops” (Episode
#620), a flashy African-American gangsta wannabe and “music producer.”
The dead guy is his “cuz” Champ Landley. Grissom and Greg process
the limo and find evidence of alcohol, drugs, a slew of different
caliber bullets and casings and evidence of a possible third person.
But the driver and Drops are not confirming the presence of another
person.
Meanwhile Catherine
and Warrick are working a second crime scene. The body of a young
woman was found by some school kids on a suburban road next to a golf
course. From the injuries to the body and the evidence at the
scene Catherine and Warrick surmise that the victim had been thrown from
and dragged by a car to her death.
Back
at the lab Nick processes the limo and discovers that shots had been
fired into and also out of the limo. When Drops comes back
negative for GSR it confirms the presence of another person in the limo.
Greg goes back to the limo to find evidence of the third person and in
his search discovers a rolled up $100 bill that was obviously used to
snort the coke found earlier. DNA results from mucous found on the
bill turn out to belong to the brother of Demitrius James, the kid Greg
had run over and killed in self defense (Episode: “Fanny Smackin”).
Greg is promptly removed from the case by the Undersherrif who is still
upset about the $2.75 million dollars the city just paid to the mother
and brother of Demitrius
James as a result of
the lawsuit brought against Greg.
Meanwhile Catherine finds
evidence in the dead girl’s purse which leads them to a guy that had
contact with the girl the night she was killed. They search his
car and find a massive amount of blood in the front seat. The
blood leads them to tie the guy and his pal to the shootout at the Seven
Sins which also leads them to place the dead girl in the limo with the
previously unknown female DNA found on the $100 bill.
A chance meeting
with the mother of Demitrius James at the lab may give Greg and the
boy’s mother the closure they are both looking for.
