CSI: CRIME scene investigation

Season 6 - Episode 8 - A Bullet Runs Through It, Part Two

Written by Richard Catalani & Carol Mendelsohn
Directed by
Ken Fink

The CSI team sifts through miles of evidence to determine who is responsible for the death of a rookie cop, as the question of why an armed car would engage the police in a gunfight remains unanswered. The situation isn’t good for the police department’s image and the CSIs face a series of dead-ends. But surveillance tape of the initial traffic stop and a fingerprint on a hide-a-key lead Catherine to discover the police were not stopping a pregnant woman involved in a domestic dispute, but a vehicle connected with a powerful drug ring.

Blood on a bullet consistent with police ammo is matched to Officer Bell’s DNA, but the bullet is too mutilated to match to a specific gun. Grissom, Nick and Sara stage a full-out crime scene reconstruction to create order from the chaos and ultimately determine whose shot killed a fellow officer.

Meanwhile Grissom is torn between Sofia’s friendship and his work ethics when Sofia violates her administrative leave by discussing the case with him. Tensions are high as Brass and Sofia notice fellow cops eyeing them suspiciously, and the neighborhood residents continue to be wary of police. It’s likely one of them is responsible…The question is who?
