CSI: CRIME scene investigation
Season 3 -
Episode 9 - Blood
Lust
Written by Josh Berman & Carol Mendelsohn
Directed by Charlie Correll
A distracted cab driver runs over a young man, and
an angry mob descends, believing that the driver is about to leave the
scene of what looks like a fatal accident. Spurred by the fact that the
driver is Indian, the enraged pack attacks and beats the cabbie to
death. The CSIs prove that this was a truly misdirected hate crime, and
the driver died for nothing – the boy who had been run over had
collapsed in the street, the victim of a fatal stabbing.
As they investigate, the CSI team soon discovers that the young man who
was killed had been reported missing by his mother. She tells Brass that
she has spent the last several years fleeing an abusive husband, and
this time, it was no different – she had just been about to leave Las
Vegas when her son disappeared. The team follows the blood evidence they
have, and the trail leads them from the scene of the taxi accident to a
nearby park. Hoping to find the that was used in the stabbing, instead,
they uncover a revolver – and a second body.
It soon becomes clear that the CSIs are investigating a terrible family
tragedy – and the only witness to what really happened is the woman’s
other son, a twelve year old boy who isn’t telling the truth about what
he saw that fateful night.
