CSI: CRIME scene investigation
Season 3 -
Episode 7 - Fight
Night
Written by Andrew Lipsitz & Naren Shankar
Directed by Richard Lewis
It’s Steele vs. Molina in a middleweight boxing
match billed as “Revenge in the Desert,” and the bout brings out the
best – and the worst – in the citizens of Las Vegas, and those who are
drawn to the strip by the promise of the main event. But when Laroi
Steele hits the mat, it’s not just the end of the fight – Steele is dead
and the CSIs are called to find out what – or who – is responsible. As
Grissom observes, it’s 19 wins – “and one loss” for Laroi “Fists of”
Steele, who went from the odds-on favorite before the match to the
underdog, suggesting someone may have had a lethal hand in fixing the
fight.
Meanwhile, gangbangers on hand for the action get into a little bit of
action of their own that begins with a perceived slight in the Tangiers
Hotel and comes to a violent end in the casino parking lot. When
Catherine arrives on the scene, she finds three guns, no witnesses, and
bullets in the victim that don’t match any of the recovered weapons.
And Nick works solo on a smash and grab robbery in a hotel jewelry
store, where his best chance at finding the brazen thief is to follow
the trail of blood he left behind in the display case.
