CSI: CRIME scene investigation
Season 3 -
Episode 12 - Got
Murder?
Written by Sarah Goldfinger
Directed by Ken Fink
The CSIs are called to the scene when birders
discover a human eyeball in a raven’s nest. Grissom, Sara and Catherine
begin to trace the unusual piece of evidence to a nearby garbage dump, a
feeding ground for birds, and a perfect burial site. The dismembered
female body they find belongs to a woman gone missing, and when they
find her family, they have no explanation for why she deserted them, or
what could have happened to her.
The husband, Daniel Easton (Michael O’Keefe), who is unemployed, is
struggling to raise two teenagers: Charlie, who is detached and
non-communicative, and Nora (Evan Rachel Wood), who seems mature and
composed beyond her years. The CSIs soon are able to connect physical
evidence in the family’s freezer with the woman from the dump, but
Catherine is even more concerned by shocking evidence that she has found
that may provide the husband and the daughter Nora with reasons for
wanting the “missing” woman dead – motives that manage to appall even a
seasoned investigator like Catherine.
Meanwhile, Dr. Robbins interrupts the autopsy on a relatively young man
who supposedly died of a heart attack. But the first incision is made on
a dead man who is still very much alive, and the CSIs try to figure out
what made him look dead, and who wanted him that way. The unfortunate
victim, who lives to die another day, was a car salesman, and a very
good one at that. When Grissom and Warrick show up at the dealership to
begin their investigation, they see firsthand how heavy-duty competition
for customers can turn an office full of salespeople into a bunch of
snakes. They suspect the victim was poisoned – but which of his
co-workers knew how to use the venom from a lethal reptile, and where to
get it?
